【征稿】 “互联网生态与新媒体理论研究”博士生国际专题研讨会:北京大学
新媒体技术的发展给人类社会生活、经济生产、国家治理带来了前所未有的影响。深入研究互联网生态系统、发展新媒体理论,具有重大的学术意义与应用价值。为了激发青年学者对这些议题的研究热情,本次论坛特以“互联网生态与新媒体理论”为题,广邀海内外各大高校在读博士生来京相聚,交流各领域的前沿研究成果,展开一场思想的碰撞。

三、会议征稿
本次研讨会旨在邀请对互联网生态与新媒体理论相关课题感兴趣的海内外青年学者,开启一场思维的碰撞。本次研讨会欢迎国内外相关领域的博士研究生与青年研究者投稿,会议组织者也将特邀国内外知名学者,就相关主题发表主旨演讲或点评。
有意参会的青年学者,请提交800字左右的中文摘要,或400字左右的英文摘要。经由专家委员会匿名评审之后,将向入选的论文作者发送入选通知。待得到入选通知后,再按时提交论文全文。会议将评选出优秀论文,并经作者同意后尽可能结集出版。
1、摘要截止日期:2018年4月21日;
2、论文入选通知:2018年5月6日;
3、论文全文截止日期:2018年6月10日。
四、征文要求
1、论文与研讨会上的报告中英文均可,研究者可围绕以上主题或者话题提交论文,应征论文应未在其它学术会议、论文集和刊物上公开发表过。
2、论文写作符合学术规范,用英文提交的论文须使用APA格式;用中文提交的论文应遵循中国学术出版的国家标准。
3、中文论文字数一般应为8000-15000字。英文论文15-20页。
4、摘要或论文请以.doc文件形式,通过电子邮件的方式发至专用邮箱,邮件主题请注明“博士生论坛投稿”。
5、投稿后将收到邮件回复,即表示投稿成功。
五、会议事项
1、本次研讨会不收取会务费;
2、主办方将为受邀参会的正式代表提供会议期间的餐饮(6月21日午餐、晚餐以及22日午餐)以及住宿(6月20日和21日晚)。
3、往返交通费用由参会人员自理。

Call for Papers
The Internet Ecology and New Media Theories
Description
The School of New Media, Peking University, heartily invites graduate students pursuing a PhD degree in social sciences, humanities, computer science and other disciplines to attend the Graduate Conference on New Media, to be held in Beijing, China, on June 21-22, 2018. The theme will be “the Internet Ecology and New Media Theories”.
Theme
The Internet has evolved into a large, complex ecological system that changes the landscape of our social, economic and political life. To understand its implications calls for both empirical research and theoretical developments. The Graduate Conference on New Media 2018 will provide a platform for young scholars to share their findings and inspire future research.
Topics
The topics of the conference include but are not limited to:
1. New Media Theories
1.1 Classic theories in the context of New Media
1.2 Theoretical frontiers of New Media Studies
1.3 New Media and Cultural Studies
2. The Internet Ecology
2.1 Theories of the Internet Ecology
2.2 Structure and Evolution of the Internet eco-system

2.4 Evaluation of the Internet eco-system
2.5 Sub-systems: political, economic and cultural eco-systems
3. New Media Studies and Social Sciences
Papers
The organizing committee welcomes abstracts for paper presentations on one or more of the topics related to the Internet Ecology and New Media Theories. The organizing committee will also invite senior scholars as keynote speakers to the conference. The committee will review all abstracts anonymously and inform applicants of its decision promptly. Full versions of the accepted papers are to be submitted before the conference, and with the author(s)’ consent, the committee will select excellent papers to be published afterwards.
Important Dates
1. April 21, the deadline for submitting abstracts.
2. May 6, the committee starts informing applicants of its decision.
3. June 10, the deadline for submitting full papers.
Submission
1. The paper should not have been published at other conferences, collections of papers or journals.
2. Abstracts should be written in either Mandarin or English, and should be around 800 characters in Mandarin or 400 words in English. Papers should be 8000-15000 characters in Mandarin or 15-20 pages in English.
3. The paper should comply with the academic code of ethics. English papers should follow APA Style. Mandarin papers should follow Chinese Std GBT7714 Style.
4. Abstracts and papers are to be sent as .doc files to: snmphdforum@163.com. Enquiries should be sent to the committee: Yang Huang, hy_snm@pku.edu.cn. Please make sure the title of the email includes “Graduate Conference”.
5. Submission is complete once you receive a confirmation by email.
Logistics
1. No additional fees are required for this conference.
2. If their paper is accepted, the attendee will be provided with meals (lunch, dinner on 21 and lunch on 22) and accommodation (20 and 21).
3. Travel cost will not be provided or reimbursed.
4. Attendees will receive an invitation by email. If additional documents are needed, please contact the committee.
